Master Kush, originally known as High Rise, is a cross between Hindu Kush and Skunk. This Indica dominant hybrid was first developed in the tall building in Amsterdam’s Bijlmer area. High Rise quickly became popular in Amsterdam coffeeshops. The name was changed to Master Kush and the strain became a staple of the Amsterdam marijuana scene. Master Kush won the Cannabis Cup in 1992 and 1993 only elevating the marijuana strains popularity. In most medical marijuana states Master Kush is so popular it is available at like every dispensary.
Master Kush Buds look great and are bright green, covered in trichomes, orange, red and brown hairs. The smoke is very smooth and mellow with a sweet, earthy and sometimes citrusy taste. The high is a great creeper, so when medicating for insomnia be careful not to smoke to much as it just takes a few minutes to kick in. Regardless you will be falling asleep if you medicate to heavily.
It is hard not to fall in love with Master Kush’s quality. It is great for medicating chronic aches and pains, insomnia, appetite stimulation, arthritis, PTSD, depression and migraines. Master Kush is definitely one of the best relaxing marijuana strains after a hard days work or to unwind in the evenings with just a couple of hits.
